Graduate / Trainee Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out 
Location: Whitstable
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 + Package
 
Hill McGlynn is pleased to be partnering with a well-established and growing fit out contractor to recruit a Graduate / Trainee Quantity Surveyor for their Whitstable office.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual looking to begin their career in Quantity Surveying. You will join a supportive commercial team and gain hands-on experience across a range of fast-paced fit out projects, with a strong focus on the retail sector.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Supporting the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender submissions
• Assisting with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring project costs and reporting on financial performance
• Supporting valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Working closely with project managers and site teams
• Maintaining accurate and organised commercial documentation

Requirements:

• Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Strong interest in the construction and fit out sector
• Any previous experience, placements, or internships within fit out is advantageous, particularly in the retail sector
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
