Hill McGlynn is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established building contractor and property services client based in Gillingham, Kent. Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint a skilled and reliable Multi-Trader to join their expanding team.
 
This is a great opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to join a reputable contractor delivering high-quality residential builds alongside some retail projects across Kent.
 
The Role:
 
As a Multi-Trader, you will carry out a variety of general building and finishing works across residential and retail projects throughout Kent. A key part of the role will involve the installation of windows and doors, so experience in this area is essential as well as ideally an NVQ in fenestration (fitting of windows and doors) or the equivalent experience.
 
You will be part of a small, professional team and expected to deliver high standards of workmanship across a range of trades.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and fitting of windows and doors
• Carrying out general multi-trade works on residential and retail projects
• Basic carpentry including fitting doors, skirting and architraves
• Minor plumbing works and installations
• Basic plastering and patch repairs
• Painting and decorating
• Tiling and general finishing works
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment on site

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• NVQ in Fenestration (Installation of Windows and Doors) - ideal but equivalent experience accepted
• Proven experience working as a Multi-Trader within construction
• Experience across several trades such as carpentry, plumbing, decorating or tiling
• Experience working on residential builds or refurbishment projects
• Full UK driving licence
• Based in Kent or within a commutable distance to Gillingham
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team

What's on Offer:

• Salary between £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
