Lead complex property claims over £100k, shape a growing large loss function & work flexibly from home with a leading MGA.
You’re looking to take a step up.
You’ve handled complex property claims and you’re not just someone who’s been involved in large loss claims from the sidelines.
You’ve genuinely influenced outcomes on large losses.
Challenging repair scopes, questioning supplier costs and making decisions that directly impact settlements.
Because after years in property claims, you know when something doesn’t stack up.
Maybe the drying time feels excessive.
Maybe alternative accommodation costs have gone on too long.
Maybe the proposed repair method feels like the most expensive option rather than the right one.
Others miss it. You don’t.
This is an opportunity for you to help build a large loss function rather than simply inherit one.
This growing MGA aren’t looking for someone who does things a certain way because “that’s how it’s always been done.”
They want someone like you who will challenge the status quo, bring fresh thinking and help build a modern large loss proposition within a business already embracing AI and innovation across claims.
You’ll manage high-value and technically complex property claims, typically over £100,000, while supporting and developing a small Technical Claims team and becoming a key technical voice within the wider function.
Alongside handling complex claims, you’ll also contribute to strategic work that helps shape the future direction of the operation.
Making this an ideal move for you as someone who has large loss experience looking to step into leadership while remaining hands-on technically.
This isn’t management for the sake of management. Your technical expertise will genuinely influence how the function develops.
The role is predominantly home-based, with just one day a month in the Sheffield office.
Alongside flexible working, there’s a strong bonus, private healthcare and the opportunity to play a genuinely influential role within a growing technical claims function.
