Household Claims Handler role in growing Insurtech. Manage claims up to £10k, mostly remote. Great step into a more technical, progressive role.
Do you remember the childhood story of the Three Little Pigs?
Bricks. Sticks. Straw.
Knowing what a property is made of matters — especially in household claims. To rebuild or repair properly, you need to understand materials, construction, and how damage actually occurs. Plaster, timber frames, brickwork, or something more complex — you know your stuff.
Thankfully, most claims don’t involve wolves blowing houses down.
They’re more likely to be escape of water, storm damage, fire, or flood — and as an experienced Household Claims Handler, you’ve handled them all.
You know what it takes to resolve a claim quickly and efficiently. You’ve dealt with customers, managed expectations, and probably even built or reviewed your own scoping of works.
But now you want more.
Maybe you’d like to step away from constant FNOL calls.
Maybe you’re looking for something more technical.
That next step, with genuine progression and development.
This growing Insurtech business offers exactly that.
You’ll be joining a small, technical team of household claims handlers, managing your own caseload and dealing with claims up to £10,000.
You’ll primarily liaise with outsourced partners, stepping in when needed, while still ensuring the customer journey remains exactly as it should be.
There’s real opportunity here to develop further — whether that’s higher authority limits, more complex cases, or moving into audit or complaints.
And even better?
You’ll be doing this mostly from home, with just one visit to the Sheffield office each month. Better balance, better quality of life — something this business genuinely values.
All they ask is prior experience as a Household, Property or Desk-Based Claims Handler.
