We are seeking new Residential Advisors (RAs) to join the UniLodge team at UniLodge Lincoln House. Multiple positions are available.

Day to day duties include
- Act as a mentor, and form a friendly and open point of contact for assistance, information and welfare to residents.
- Run events and activities as part of the residential life program
- Provide advice and report any concerns regarding resident welfare.
- Assist the Management team with grievances and or conflict resolution as required.
- Be an active member of the emergency response team during shift times and other times when in the building.
- Carry the after-hours emergency phone when on duty.
- Provide after-hours on-call assistance to residents of UniLodge.
- Operate reception and complete office admin tasks
- Call the emergency services when appropriate to ensure a quick response to any emergency.
- Monitor smoking on and between floors and report any offenders.
What you'll need to succeed - Must be a resident at UniLodge Lincoln House, whose residence agreement concludes not before January 2027, and preferably not before July 2027.
- A demonstrated capacity for leadership and maturity.
- An ability to respond to difficult or challenging situations in a calm and responsible manner while following all appropriate procedures.
- Have empathy with the diverse issues faced by university students and an appreciation of the needs of students in residential accommodation.
- Good writing skills and ability to motivate others.
- High level of creativity and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to interact with residents of many different cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Experience living in student residential accommodation.
- Must have flexible availability to meet the training and rostering requirements, including during weekends.
Preferably you will have completed 12 months of tertiary study at the University of Melbourne, and have spent at least six months living at Lincoln House already - but we do still welcome your application if you don't meet all of those criteria.
You must be available to attend training between July 1-7 (weekdays only). You must also be available to work during the July break.
