The OpportunityAs Landmark's Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the contracts and costs of the construction project. This involves carrying out studies of project duration and labour costs, examining and analysing material costs, setting up orders and certifying payments of the sub-contractors, managing works to the contract and finalising commercial close of projects.
Some of the key accountabilities - Negotiate contracts, perform risk assessments, and secure advantageous terms.
- Prepare and agree on Bill of Quantities rates, cost plans, and final accounts.
- Identify and implement value engineering initiatives to optimise project outcomes.
- Manage and challenge claims, variations, and payments within tight deadlines.
- Develop commercial forecasts, cash flow projections, and strategies while maintaining accountability for commercial performance.
- Prepare weekly/monthly commercial reports, set budgets, and align programs with the commercial calendar.
- Conduct site surveillance, review contractor progress, and utilise software tools like Cubit and Bluebeam for estimating.
- Collect and analyse scope of works to estimate project costs, including labour, machinery, subcontractors, and time.
Who we're looking for - Formal Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management qualifications
- Ideally have 6+ years knowledge and experience as a quantity surveyor across construction & built form projects
- Experience with High-rise Class 2 buildings
- Appropriate software and technology e.g. MS Office
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work across several projects simultaneously
- Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Strong communication and organisational skills
