Sample Preparation Operator should carry out sample preparation of different commodities and support to Inspection services.
About the Position:
The Sample Preparation Operator will be based in Johannesburg and will report to the Site Supervisor for Inspection South Africa (PTY) LTD.

The position will be responsible to:

• Prepare and comply with internal as well as external audits for the region
Sample Preparation Operator Responsibilities:
• To prepare samples as per the relevant procedures or a directed by the site supervisor
• These activities may include but are not limited to sampling, packing, labelling, sealing, sizing, and weighing of various commodities.
• To record all necessary information regarding sample preparation and inspection activities as per relevant procedures or as directed by the immediate supervisor. This may include completion of forms, and / or obtaining photographic evidence of activities.
• To adhere to ALS policies and procedures as well as the requirements of the terminals / ports with regards to the use of personal protective equipment and health and safety requirements.
• To perform the task allocated in that shift and execute as specified in the relevant SOP or as directed by the sample preparation Team leader.
• To ensure the samples submitted in the Lab are stored in a suitable location to prevent contamination and dehumidification.
• To wear adequate protective clothing as provided.
