Summary
 
Biology/Microbiology to design, conduct, and interpret biological experiments supporting product and technology development programs. This role provides scientific expertise in microbiology and biological systems, contributing to assay development, biomarker identification, and microbial testing within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
The successful candidate will apply advanced scientific knowledge to perform laboratory testing, data analysis, and documentation in compliance with GMP and internal quality standards.
 
Responsibilities

• Design and execute biological experiments to support development initiatives.
• Perform biological agent testing and assays.
• Conduct biomarker identification and development activities.
• Perform environmental monitoring and laboratory microbiological testing.
• Execute:
  • Biological Indicator testing
  • Growth Promotion testing
  • Endotoxin testing
  • Bioburden testing
  • Microbial identification
• Summarize and interpret preliminary data; provide scientific recommendations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare standards, reagents, controls, and testing materials per established procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory and analytical instrumentation.
• Conduct literature searches and provide scientific input based on current research.
• Assist in the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, and technical summaries.
• Utilize laboratory systems and software for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology (or related Life Sciences discipline).
• 2-4 years of relevant laboratory experience in microbiology or biological sciences.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Growth Promotion
  • Endotoxin testing
  • Bioburden testing
  • Biological indicators
  • Environmental monitoring
• Experience performing laboratory assays and microbial identification.
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills.
• Experience operating standard microbiology laboratory instrumentation.
• Proficiency in computer software for data entry and literature searches.
