Position Overview
An accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the financial decision-making process within an organization. The role involves working with financial data, preparing reports, and offering insights that drive business success.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update accounting records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to help guide organizational financial planning.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure timely filing of payroll tax returns, IVU monthly filing and adherence to tax regulations.
• Monitor and report on financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or other certification preferred).
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 100, Microsoft Excel).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
