The Role
 
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fire Services Engineer to join their growing team in Adelaide. You’ll be responsible for designing, documenting, and delivering fire protection systems across a diverse range of projects—spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
 

The Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of fire services systems: sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, fire detection and alarm systems.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards (AS 2419, AS 2118, AS 1670), NCC, and local authority requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and tender documentation.
• Support project delivery through construction phase including site inspections and commissioning assistance.

The Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related.
• 3+ years’ experience in fire services design within the building services sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; knowledge of hydraulic modelling software desirable.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and fire safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Chartered status or working towards CPEng/RPEQ (advantageous but not essential).
