Your Impact This is a broad management role responsible for ensuring the organisation's financial, governance and corporate infrastructure is effective, well controlled and fit for purpose.
Working closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team, you will provide oversight across financial management, governance, risk, compliance, quality, IT and corporate services.
You will lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting cycle, monitor financial performance and controls, and provide clear information to support organisational decision-making. You will also coordinate audit, funding and compliance requirements and ensure key governance and risk obligations are identified, monitored and followed through.
The role has a strong operational focus. You will oversee corporate systems and external providers, identify issues and risks early, coordinate practical solutions and ensure agreed actions are delivered.
You will also support effective governance processes, policy and procedure reviews, quality improvement, accreditation and reporting, working across the organisation to build accountability, consistency and continuous improvement.
The Role - Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial controls
- Monitor organisational and program-level financial performance, cash flow, funding and expenditure
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to the CEO, Senior Management Team and Board
- Coordinate audit, funding acquittals, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Maintain governance, risk, quality and compliance frameworks and registers
- Coordinate policy and procedure reviews, internal audits and accreditation activities
- Prepare reports, papers, dashboards and action logs for management and governance committees
- Oversee corporate services, business systems and external IT providers
- Monitor vendor performance, contracts, costs, systems, licences and technology requirements
- Identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement and drive practical solutions
- Provide advice and support to managers and staff across financial, governance, risk and corporate processes
- Lead and coordinate the corporate services team and external resources to ensure priorities are delivered
What You Bring You will be an experienced finance, corporate services, business operations or similar manager who is comfortable operating across a broad portfolio and working closely with senior leaders.
Experience within health, community services, disability, aged care, human services, NFP or another regulated environment is required for this one.
You will bring:
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial controls
- Sound knowledge of governance, risk, compliance and quality systems
- Experience coordinating audits, accreditation, compliance and organisational improvement
- Confidence managing systems, IT providers, vendors and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities, identify issues and follow them through to resolution
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare clear reports and business documentation
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to work with autonomy
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, management, quality, compliance, IT or a related discipline will be well regarded.
