Your Impact
This is a great entry point into the not-for-profit and disability sector, where your work will directly support events and fundraising activities that strengthen community connection and generate vital support for Inala.
You’ll play an important behind-the-scenes role in helping events run smoothly, while contributing to outcomes that improve the lives of people with disability.
The Role
Reporting to the Corporate & Community Partnership Manager and based in Cherrybrook, this is a varied support role where you’ll assist with the coordination and delivery of Inala’s events and fundraising activities.
Rather than leading events independently, you’ll work closely with the team to provide practical administrative and on-the-day support, helping ensure everything is well organised, well communicated, and well executed.
This role would suit someone early in their career who is eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and brings a positive, “can-do” attitude.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing administrative support for fundraising and community events
- Assisting with event logistics including bookings, suppliers and materials
- Supporting invitations, communications and follow-ups
- Maintaining CRM records and updating RSVPs
- Helping coordinate volunteers and event attendees
- Supporting donor and stakeholder communications
- Assisting with sourcing raffle and auction items
- Providing general team support across events and fundraising activity
The Organisation Inala Disability Services has over 60 years’ experience supporting people with disability to build independence, confidence, and opportunity.
Widely recognised for its inclusive, person-centred approach, Inala employs more than 280 staff supporting around 200 clients across its services.

What You Bring You don’t need extensive events experience for this role — what matters most is your attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
You are organised, friendly, and comfortable working with a wide range of people. You bring warmth, reliability, and a proactive approach to supporting a busy team.
This is a role where personality and potential matter more than technical experience.
Specifically, you have:
- Strong administrative or general office support experience (or similar)
- A friendly, engaging, and positive communication style
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence working with systems and basic digital tools
- A genuine interest in community or not-for-profit work
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a busy environment
