The Cleanroom Architectural Project Manager serves as KALCON's Owner's Representative responsible for managing the architectural build‑out and fit‑out of cleanroom and subfab environments within a semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role manages scope, schedule, budget, resources, vendor performance, and risk while ensuring all work is executed in accordance with the Owner's safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience managing architectural scopes on complex industrial or high-tech facilities.
- Direct experience with cleanroom construction, fit-out, or renovation projects.
- Strong understanding of cleanroom architectural systems, materials, and contamination control principles.
- Experience supporting tool install, startup, and production ramp phases.
- Familiarity with ISO cleanroom classifications and validation processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in highly regulated environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural scope for cleanroom and subfab build‑out, including wall systems, ceilings, finishes, doors, glazing, and specialty cleanroom components.
- Serve as the primary Owner's Representative for cleanroom architectural trades and specialty contractors.
- Coordinate architectural interfaces with cleanroom mechanical, electrical, process, and tool installation teams.
- Manage cleanroom-specific sequencing, access controls, and contamination control strategies during construction.
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, mockups, and material selections related to cleanroom architectural systems.
- Ensure cleanroom construction meets ISO cleanliness standards, Owner specifications, and operational requirements.
- Monitor schedule alignment between cleanroom architectural installation and equipment readiness milestones.
- Oversee quality inspections, punchlists, and deficiency resolution for cleanroom and subfab spaces.
- Support testing, validation, and certification activities required for cleanroom turnover.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to constructability, sequencing, and integration with process tools.
- Facilitate coordination between basebuild teams and cleanroom contractors to ensure smooth transition into fit‑out activities.
- Oversee construction activities within active or partially operational cleanroom environments while maintaining cleanliness protocols and access controls.
- Coordinate architectural scope associated with subfab spaces, including service corridors, chases, platforms, and equipment access zones.
- Support cleanroom gowning, material flow, and personnel circulation planning through architectural layout and sequencing.
- Review and enforce cleanroom material handling, storage, and protection requirements during installation.
- Partner with quality and validation teams to ensure architectural elements support certification, startup, and ramp‑to‑production activities.
