Seeking a Jr-Mid level Project Engineer to drive core project coordination efforts across a spectrum of construction projects. - San Antonio, TX
Position Overview:
KALCON is looking for a self-starting Jr-Mid level Project Engineer to drive core project coordination efforts across a wide spectrum of ongoing construction projects. Daily tasks include submittal/RFI workflow management, change order management, design coordination, project closeout management, payment application reviews, participation in commissioning, and coordination of construction activities with the full-time staff. Regular collaboration and coordination are required with internal resources and design-build contractors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, or similar field, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity requiredrequired
- Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a strong preference
- Contract preparation experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Procore is strongly preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of the Contract and PO processing for vendors engaged on various projects.
- Ensure project compliance with Vantage document controls and file specifications
- Administer project commissioning, closeout specifications and associated turnover documentation
- Assist with commissioning documentation
- Assist with customer handover documentation
- Assist with company operations handover documentation
- Assist with checklist requirements when completing insurance documents
- Manage GC office activities as required
- Translate job requirements to execution with minimal supervision
- Assist construction manager in preparing monthly financial updates and forecasts.
- Input PO requests in the financial system and oversee the distribution process to all vendors
- Assist with producing other documents as needed
- Assist with internal and external project closeout requirements
- Assist with scheduling meetings
- Assist with scheduling travel
- Maintain supplies (office and breakroom)
- Additional duties as assigned from time to time by Management
