The Opportunity
 
We are looking for an SAP Capability Manager to lead our high-performing SAP practice.  
 
The Capability Manager is accountable for the strategic development, technical oversight, and commercial performance of their assigned solution portfolio. This role plays a key leadership position in driving solution capability, workforce performance, and customer engagement across the business, particularly focusing on general business (non-focused customers).

 Key Performance Indicators for this role are –

• Growth and maturity of assigned solution portfolio
• Permanent team utilisation and revenue contribution
• Customer satisfaction and engagement in general business accounts
• Accuracy and timeliness of timesheet submissions
• Effective use of bench time for non-billable investment
• Performance and development of permanent workforce

 
Your deliverables across the key areas of responsibility will include –

• Own and evolve the assigned solution portfolio in alignment with business strategy and market needs.
• Lead engagement and relationship development with non-focused (general business) customer accounts.
• Maintain deep technical expertise in the relevant capability area to ensure service offerings are contemporary and competitive
• Identify gaps and opportunities for capability growth and innovation
• Support business development through technical input and solution design
• for presales activities.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to position capability offerings and drive pipeline growth.
• Manage the performance, professional development, and wellbeing of the permanent team within the capability
• Drive strong utilisation outcomes, ensuring alignment of workforce capacity to revenue targets.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning aligned to individual and business goals.
• Be accountable for the revenue and utilisation performance of the permanent resource team.
• Monitor and manage non-billable investment activity, ensuring any available bench is directed towards value-adding capability development.
• Oversee and validate timesheet submissions, ensuring correct job allocation and accuracy for permanent resources.
• Actively contribute to presales efforts by providing solution design, scope input, and proposal development in collaboration with the business development team.
• Represent capability strengths in client discussions and ensure alignment between customer requirements and delivery capability.
• Manage the allocation of non-billable time within the permanent team, ensuring it is utilised for productive and strategic purposes.

Please note: This role does not include the management of contingent (contract) labour. Capability Managers are not authorised to approve non-billable contractors or manage their performance, development, or utilisation.
