The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Business Analyst to join our team. The person will be responsible for assisting Senior IT Project Managers in managing and delivering Business Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data projects within the organisation.
 
The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the analysis, design, and implementation of IT solutions to support business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and IT development teams, to gather and document business requirements, develop functional specifications, and ensure that delivered IT solutions meet business needs.
 
What You’ll Do

• Analyse and document existing solutions and business processes.
• Interview client functional experts for background on existing processes and solutions, and new functionality required.
• Work with client Project Managers to formalise project scope.
• Liaise with stakeholders to define and document detailed requirements to a level suitable for handing to technical developers.
• Work with technical developers to support the technical design and development process.
• Manage task allocation with the technical development team and ensure roadblocks are removed.
• Act as an interface between business users and the technical development team to ensure questions and issues are addressed.
• Manage and conduct functional testing.
• Work with external stakeholders to facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
• Manage the deployment of functionality across environments.
• Manage the nurturing process from solution go live to the handover to the support team.
• Develop full documentation of the solution for ongoing support (both technical and functional).
• Manage the full development lifecycle of BAU production issues and enhancements.
• Support the bid process for new opportunities when required.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience as a Business Analyst within the Transport industry will be critical to your success in this role
• 3-5 years of experience in IT business analysis or related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with business analysis methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail.
