ABOUT THE POSITION. We are recruiting on behalf of this architectural practice for an Architect with 3-7 years' of experience. You will be based in their Sydney office and working on a large scale rail project.
They are looking for someone who is inspired by creativity and innovation, and has a passion for design and are interested in working in a creative, fun and inspiring environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES. - Have a project focused view, sometimes across multiple projects
- Be relied upon to have detailed knowledge of your area(s) of responsibility
- Demonstrate design abilities and awareness; especially within the area of rail
- Actively contribute to design discussions, exploring and developing design proposals
- Work within the design aspirations for the project
- Be aware of construction methods, consents, standards, materials and specifications
- Assist in design from macro to micro scale
- Assist in providing design and documentation to support package leads
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. - 3-7 years’ experience
- Master’s Degree in Architecture
- Developing knowledge of construction industry legislation, practice and procedures
- Understanding of project work stage principles and organisation
- Communicate effectively and clearly with hand drawn diagrams, sketches and illustrations
- Structure and deliver simple presentations
- Experience with Revit, CAD and Rhino would be advantageous
- Analyse and critically assess problems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to analyse and critically assess problems
- Imaginative and creative thinking skills and ability
- Rail experience is advantageous
- Registration not essential but would be advantageous
