Senior Architect – Project Delivery Focus

We are seeking a Senior Architect with a strong focus on project delivery to join a leading Sydney-based practice. This role is critical in ensuring that projects transition seamlessly from detailed design through to construction and completion, maintaining design intent, quality, and compliance.

You will play a leadership role in managing the delivery phase of complex projects, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve outstanding built outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the delivery stages of projects, including construction documentation, tendering, contract administration, and site services.
• Manage the production of detailed construction documentation, ensuring compliance with BCA/NCC, Australian Standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, engineers, builders, and authorities throughout the delivery phase.
• Administer construction contracts, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site inspections.
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, technical challenges, and program requirements.
• Maintain and protect design integrity throughout the delivery and construction process.
• Mentor and support project teams with technical and delivery expertise.
• Ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality benchmarks are met.  

Skills & Experience:

• Registered Architect in Australia.
• 10+ years' professional experience with a strong background in project delivery and construction phases.
• Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• Exceptional construction knowledge and technical detailing skills.
• Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with BIM 360, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly regarded.
• Deep understanding of construction contracts (AS 4000, D&C contracts, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and client management abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to quality outcomes.
