Position Summary
The English Enrichment Teacher plays a vital and strategic role in supporting students in Years 7-12 as they prepare for success in VCE English. Working collaboratively with the Learning Leader – English and the Director of Individual Learning, the teacher will use a variety of internal and external learning data to identify students with specific learning needs. This data-informed approach ensures that targeted support strategies are developed and implemented to assist students in achieving their personal best.
The English Enrichment Teacher will design and deliver tailored intervention and extension programs that focus on building essential English knowledge, skills, and understanding. This includes providing in-class support through differentiated teaching, as well as coordinating small group withdrawal sessions and structured after-school programs. These initiatives aim to enhance students' analytical, writing, reading, and oral communication skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of VCE English.
Additionally, the teacher will regularly monitor and evaluate the progress of supported students, adjusting strategies as needed to maximise learning outcomes. By fostering a growth mindset and promoting academic confidence, the English Enrichment Teacher plays a key role in empowering students to thrive in their senior English studies.

Work Pattern The English Enrichment Teacher may be required to deliver targeted before and/or after school programs as well as support within the school day. The work pattern will thus be flexible and determined in collaboration with the Learning Leader- English and Deputy Principal, Director of Learning.
