/ Shape the Future of a Proud Aboriginal Corporation
The Dieri Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (TDAC) is the prescribed body corporate representing the Dieri people and their native title interests across a significant area of South Australia. Based in Port Augusta, the organisation plays a critical role in protecting and promoting Dieri culture, heritage and country, while delivering services and opportunities that support the wellbeing of its members. With a substantial asset portfolio, established relationships across government, industry and community and major initiatives underway including a Healthy Country Plan, Ranger Program and repatriation activities, TDAC is entering an important new phase of growth, renewal and community impact.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic and operational leadership across all facets of the organisation. The role will oversee member services, cultural heritage and native title activities, stakeholder engagement, financial stewardship, asset management and organisational performance. Working closely with the Board, the CEO will help develop and implement a new strategic direction, strengthen governance and operational systems, expand funding and grant opportunities and build sustainable programs that create lasting benefits for Dieri members. The CEO will also lead engagement with Traditional Owners, government agencies, funding bodies, native title representatives, resource companies and community stakeholders while ensuring strong communication and connection with members across Australia.
A values-driven executive, you will bring demonstrated experience leading organisations, programs or communities in complex stakeholder environments. Experience working with Aboriginal organisations, Traditional Owner groups, Registered Native Title Bodies Corporate (RNTBCs) or related sectors will be highly regarded. You will possess strong leadership, governance and commercial capability, together with an understanding of Aboriginal community engagement, cultural heritage responsibilities and native title matters. You will be skilled in building trusted relationships across communities, government, funding bodies, native title representatives, legal advisers and resource sector stakeholders. Equally important will be your cultural awareness, integrity and commitment to empowering Aboriginal people and communities while balancing cultural, community and commercial priorities.
This is a unique opportunity to lead an organisation of deep cultural significance while helping create sustainable opportunities for future generations of Dieri people.
