About the Program
InSync Youth Services provide support and accommodation to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Insync Beenleigh is enhancing our immediate need accommodation, transitioning to a 2 worker model with active staff around the clock, supporting young people at risk of homelessness including those with high and complex needs.
About the role
We are currently looking for a Service Coordinator to manage our Insync Beenleigh service. Our Insync Youth Services are focused on early intervention, client support, and ensuring long-term positive housing outcomes. This is a really engaging and rewarding role, perfectly suited for a positive, caring professional to provide care and support to young people, in out of home care and/or living within at-risk families.
As a Service Coordinator, you will provide leadership and support to a team of youth workers and support staff. This will involve supporting the team to deliver a range of high-quality services to clients as well as providing day-to-day operational support to the service. You will coach, mentor and guide staff in case direction and complex client support for our crisis and transitional accommodation. This position reports to, and works with, the Youth Service Manager.
This is a Full-Time 13 Month Fixed-Term Contract position working 38 hours per week. Contract duration November 2024 – December 2025 with a view to extension pending Government funding.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership and support to the team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct regular file audits for quality assurance and assist staff in complex case management.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging peer support and shared ideas.
- Ensure appropriate caseload management and backfill cases to maintain service continuity.
- Maintain current knowledge of client issues and referral trends to guide service delivery.
- Liaise with external providers and implement client-centred service models.
- Oversee maintenance of databases and ensure accurate record-keeping of Service User information.
- Comply with incident reporting processes and manage feedback surveys.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of management systems and policies.
- Generate innovative ideas to enhance working practices and achieve organizational goals.
- Identify training needs for self and team members, promoting ongoing professional development.
Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements - Degree in Health, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or similar (this is an essential requirement of the role)
- Current National Police Check
- Current Blue Card
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Ability and willingness to travel within the service region and to work outside of standard business hours, including on-call work.
About You: - Relevant experience in management, case management, and family support.
- Strong client-focused background in homelessness, mental health, and youth services.
- Proficient in Trauma-Informed and Recovery-Oriented practices.
- Established leadership skills with experience in day-to-day operational supervision.
- Proven ability to manage human, technical, and fiscal resources effectively.
- Experience developing and implementing tools to enhance service delivery.
- Understanding of change management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Collaborative team player with a talent for building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Solutions-oriented and self-managing, capable of thriving in a team environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software and systems.
