About the Program
Homelessness Services Women & Families, diverse programs cater to various needs, including the Young Women’s and Adult Women’s accommodation programs. Additionally, the service provides targeted family support, early intervention through the Women's Early Intervention program, holistic support and housing support for women exiting remand, support for QLD Drug and Alcohol Court participants and comprehensive property and tenancy management for all temporary supported properties.
About the role
The overall purpose of the Administration Officer - Accommodation is to coordinate the efficient and effective administrative duties and clerical financial requirements of the service. This is a great opportunity for an administration officer looking for a role where they can make a difference. We are looking for someone who is efficient and focused on supporting women who are entering and exiting our accommodation.
A typical day may include:
- Preparing rooms for women and families entering the service.
- Completing condition reports, financial reports and processing payments for rent, food, utilities and security deposits from women and families.
- Managing inventory, completing some light cleaning duties, or arranging contractors for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Conducting room inspections with women and liaising with women and staff about their accommodation.
- Assisting women who are planning to exit from the accommodation by discussing exit cleaning, security deposits, arrears etc.
- Liaising with the wider team around the women’s presenting needs.
This is a
Permanent Full-Time position working
38 hours per week based at our
Toowong service.
Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements - Current National Police Check
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children)
- Current Queensland Driver Licence, some driving required as a part of role
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or similar field, or equivalent practical experience (desired)
About You: - Extensive experience in administration, ideally within property, real estate, or a similar sector.
- Background in onsite accommodation management.
- Knowledgeable in financial processes, including rent payments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
- Capable of working independently while also being a dedicated team player.
- Passionate about issues related to women and families accessing safe, affordable housing.
