Anglicare are currently hiring for a Part Time (38.4 Hours per Fortnight) Volunteer Coordinator on a 6 Month Contract to coordinate the recruitment, selection, orientation, supervision and support of Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) volunteers.

Community Visitors provide social support to isolated older persons living in the community or in residential aged care. The Coordinator, CVS also liaises with aged care providers external to Anglicare to ensure awareness of the scheme and access or eligible older persons.
  
Your role in supporting Anglicare will include:

• Be an ambassador for the program and provide information to potential volunteers and the community as required.
• Promote ACVVS to volunteers, potential volunteers, and other aged care providers.
• Maintain networks within the location community to encourage participation in the service.
• Collaboratively identify potential volunteer requirements, determine attraction strategies to resource and recruit to the positions.
• Interview potential volunteers, match and appoint to clients enrolled in the ACVVS scheme.
• Provide mandatory training directly and/or through self-paced learning tools.
• Provide volunteers with support, feedback and recognition.
• Consult on the management of ACVVS volunteer performance as appropriate.
• Maintain volunteer records, including recording of volunteer hours.
• Generate activity reports to direct manager and program funders.

What you will bring to the role

• Experience in volunteer coordination and management and work collaboratively with clients and their families and / or carers to maximise client outcomes
• Ability to lead a team and provide appropriate supervision and support
• Experience within a community based multidisciplinary team environment with the capacity to negotiate with a range of stakeholders, operate flexibly, and problem solve effectively
• Ability to work autonomously, plan and prioritise, and work within deadlines
• Well developed verbal and written communication including excellent documentation and report writing skills
• High level computer skills (MS Office Word, Outlook)
