About the role
This is a permanent full time role, based in our new modern office in Duncan Street, Fortitude Valley, close to public transport and parking.
The Officer, Accounts Receivable provides financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate allocation of payments to accounts. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and reconcile daily banking, journals, and accounts
- Process payments, generate invoices, and assist with debt recovery
- Maintain accurate records for direct debits and credit cards
- Provide backup support to team members as needed
- Deliver professional, timely communication with team members, customers, and managers
- Support continuous improvement through documentation, training, and quality initiatives
About you
You will be driven, with strong attention to detail, a team-oriented attitude, and a proactive approach to streamlining accounts receivable operations.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own work activities and schedules to meet established deadlines and achieve high quality work outcomes
- Strong computer skills, intermediate level ability in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of financial software including accounts receivable and general ledger modules - previous experience in Sun Systems will be highly regarded
- Ability to maintain sustained level of concentration in a volume processing activity to ensure accuracy and identify errors to be addressed
- Proven ability to deal with debtor queries and outstanding accounts in a courteous and professional manner
