We are a team of accountants with practical business experience in addition to extensive financial and tax knowledge. With an established client base, we are looking for a motivated and capable accountant to be monitored into managing the client base with the opportunity for future growth within our business.

About the role
Reporting to our managing partner, as a tax accountant you will be working alongside a highly experienced and supportive team.
Key requirements and responsibilities:

• Manage and grow the base of business, trust, superannuation and individual clients;
• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for all entities including companies, trusts and partnerships;
• Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
• Prepare and review quarterly and/or monthly activity statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and Land Tax;
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects for clients, including preparing reports and audits;
• Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure, including providing taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations;
• Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax; 
• Communicate effectively with clients and liaise with ATO and other government bodies;
• Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies;
• Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed; and
• Maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.

A successful candidate will:

• Have at least a bachelor degree in the area
• Have at least 2 years of experience as an accountant
• Is knowledgeable in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, SuiteFiles, Microsoft Office 365, Class and Affinity as well as other software packages, as required.
• Be team orientated, and motivated to provide superior client service and outcomes.
• Have a drive to learn and strong work ethic.
