Senior Interior Designer - Commercial Interiors 
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 30,000 - 35,000 per month (depending on experience)
Reporting to: Head of Design

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly creative, strategic and client-facing Senior Interior Designer to join a growing design team for a global commercial interior design & build firm. In this role you will lead concept design, pitches, and client presentation, bridge between creative vision and delivery, and mentor design staff across multiple projects.
You will be responsible for setting the visual and experiential tone for high-end commercial fit-out projects (offices, workplaces, showrooms, retail, hospitality) and ensuring these standards are consistently met in design, presentation, and execution.
This is a high-visibility role, requiring excellent presentation and communication skills, strong technical design capability, and the confidence to lead client engagements and pitches.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of design concepts, visual identities and spatial narratives for commercial fit-out projects
• Develop high quality presentation materials (renderings, moodboards, 3D visuals, storyboards) to pitch to clients
• Participate directly in client meetings, workshops, pitch presentations and design reviews
• Mentor and guide mid to junior designers, ensuring alignment with creative vision and quality standards
• Collaborate with project management, architectural, engineering and delivery teams to translate concept into buildable solutions
• Oversee and review drawings, renderings, documentation and specifications to maintain design integrity
• Ensure designs are not only aesthetic but also functional, cost-efficient, buildable, and compliant with local codes
• Stay updated on design, materials, technology, sustainability, and workplace trends; bring innovation to proposals
• Work cross-functionally with business development / sales teams to support proposals, presentations and client acquisition

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in commercial interiors / fit-out, with a track record of leading projects in the UAE or GCC region
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates commercial / workplace / retail projects, from concept through completion
• Highly proficient in:
  - AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
  - SketchUp (or equivalent 3D modelling tool)
  - Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign & Photoshop
• Excellent visual, presentation and storytelling skills — ability to sell a concept and tell a narrative
• Confident in client interaction: able to lead meetings, handle objections, refine direction with feedback
• Leadership and mentorship abilities to grow and guide design teams
• Strong sense of aesthetics, spatial composition, materials, lighting, colour, finishes
• Familiarity with local construction practices, regulatory codes, MEP coordination, procurement, and fit-out delivery
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritise work, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages a plus

Preferred / Desirable

• Experience in multi-disciplinary design & build environments
• Exposure to international or global design standards
• Experience developing client proposals, fee structuring, tender documentation
• Knowledge of sustainability standards (LEED, WELL, etc.) or workplace strategy
• Experience working with remote / distributed teams
