About the Role
Are you passionate about engaging young people and fostering faith in a welcoming environment? We are seeking a Youth Group Ministry to join our parish team in a flexible role designed to strengthen youth connections within our community.
This position offers the opportunity to develop and lead a youth ministry focused on faith, fellowship, and fun. Building on experience, including the previous All Saints Parish Youth Coordinator role, this initiative aims to create a thriving youth community with a clear path for leadership development.
This is an ongoing casual position of 5 hours a week. The initial stage will be building up the youth group and then running the programme in the near future.
Key Aspects of the Role:
- Monthly Saturday 5pm Mass & Gatherings: A key commitment is organizing and leading a monthly youth gathering around Saturday 5pm Mass.
- Office Presence During School Hours: Some planning and coordination will take place during school hours at the parish office.
- Youth Engagement: Establish a social group with faith elements, ensuring young people feel connected to the parish and its mission.
- Building Community: Develop a program that fosters relationships among high school students and eventually create a pathway to an older youth group.
- Volunteer & Leadership Development: Encourage young people to become future parish leaders, with the goal of having leaders emerge from within the group.

Passionate about youth ministry – understands how to connect with young people in a faith-based setting.

A great communicator and team player – able to work closely with parish leaders, volunteers, and families.

Social media-savvy – comfortable using platforms to promote events and engage youth.
