We’re excited to welcome enthusiastic and energetic educators to Our Lady of the Angels Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Wavell Heights. If you're passionate about helping primary school-aged children grow, learn, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Located on the grounds of Our Lady of the Angels Primary School, our OSHC service offers before school care, after school care, and vacation care for up to 165 children.
Our program is designed to nurture creativity, learning, and play. Activities include craft, cooking, gardening, sports, group games, homework club, and free play. We also provide healthy, nutritious breakfasts during before school care and tasty snacks during after school care, with occasional treats chosen by the children.
We need dedicated educators who are eager to create a positive, engaging, and fun atmosphere for kids. Your role will be to support children in their development, ensuring they thrive in a happy and safe setting.
Daily Operations:
- Morning Session: All children are dropped off at our main building for the morning session. Before the school bell rings, Our Lady of the Angels (OLA) children are walked to their classrooms, while Wavell State School children begin their walk to their school.
- Afternoon Session: In the afternoons, we care for children in two distinct spaces – our senior building and our junior building. Wavell State School children are collected from their school and walked over to our OLA campus. Once all the children are at our service, we provide a wholesome afternoon tea and then engage them in various activities outlined in our educational program.
Responsibilities: - Before School Care: Engage children in a positive and encouraging manner, providing a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Ensure smooth transitions for OLA children to their classrooms and Wavell children to their school.
- After School Care: Offer healthy snacks, supervise homework clubs, and provide stimulating activities in our senior and junior buildings. Facilitate the collection of Wavell children and their safe transition to our OLA campus.
- Vacation Care: Plan and implement exciting and diverse programs for all children, fostering a memorable and enriching experience during school breaks.
