Centacare Home Safety Services provides essential home maintenance, repairs, security, minor modifications, information and referral services to older Australians and people living with disability, helping clients remain safe, independent and connected within their homes and communities.
About the Role
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Senior Administration Officer – Home Safety will provide high-level administrative, financial and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of Home Safety Services.
This role will suit an experienced administration professional who enjoys improving processes, supporting teams and managing a diverse range of administrative responsibilities. You will play a key role in maintaining efficient systems, supporting compliance requirements, coordinating reporting and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Home Safety Services team and Business Manager
- Maintain and improve administrative systems, processes and reporting functions
- Support financial administration including invoices, receipting, banking, reconciliations and financial records
- Manage client records, data entry and client management systems
- Support quality improvement activities, audits, compliance processes and documentation requirements
- Assist with contractor management, property and asset processes
- Support intake, assessment and allocation processes for clients
- Prepare reports, correspondence and documentation with a high level of accuracy
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to Administration Officers as required
About You You are an organised and proactive administration professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior administration role, ideally within community services, aged care, disability or a similar sector
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting financial processes and reporting requirements
- Ability to develop and maintain effective administrative systems
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Experience with client management systems and HR/finance systems (such as CMS and Aurion) is desirable
Essential Requirements - Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent qualification with significant relevant experience
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence (or recognised equivalent)
- Reliable, registered and suitably insured vehicle for work purposes
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Clearance)
- Ability to work in alignment with Centacare’s mission, values and Catholic Social Teaching principles
