Catholic Early EdCare is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to work across four of our Fraser Coast OSHC services:
- Star of the Sea OSHC – Torquay
- Xavier Catholic College OSHC – Eli Waters
- St Mary's OSHC – Maryborough
- St Joseph's OSHC – Childers
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educator or emerging leader who is ready to take the next step in their OSHC career and make a positive impact across multiple services.
Working alongside our Coordinators, Educators, and leadership team, you will help create safe, engaging, and inclusive environments where children feel valued, connected, and inspired.
Our OSHC programs are designed to encourage children's ideas, creativity, and development through intentional learning opportunities, meaningful relationships, and spontaneous play experiences.
Hours: Permanent Full-Time | 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Your Responsibilities As Assistant Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations across all four services by:
- Assisting Coordinators with the daily operations of the OSHC services.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and engaging educational programs.
- Assisting with program planning, implementation, and documentation.
- Supporting educators through mentoring, coaching, and collaborative teamwork.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, schools, parish communities, and the wider community.
- Helping maintain safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments for all children.
- Supporting staff supervision, rostering, and daily service operations.
- Acting as the Responsible Person when required in the absence of the Coordinator.
- Supporting compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and the My Time, Our Place Framework.
- Working collaboratively across multiple services to promote consistency, quality improvement, and best practice.

Requirements - Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in an education and care environment, with leadership experience highly regarded.
- Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Child Protection Training (or willingness to obtain).
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and My Time, Our Place.
- Strong computer skills, including childcare management systems (Xplor experience desirable).
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between services across the Fraser Coast region.
