Catholic Early EdCare is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to support two of our OSHC services on the Sunshine Coast:
- Stella Maris OSHC – Maroochydore
- Siena OSHC – Sippy Downs
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educator or emerging leader who is ready to take the next step in their OSHC career and make a positive impact across multiple services.
Working alongside our Coordinators, Educators, and leadership team, you will help create safe, engaging, and inclusive environments where children feel valued, connected, and inspired.
Our OSHC programs are designed to encourage children’s ideas, creativity, and development through intentional learning opportunities, meaningful relationships, and spontaneous play experiences.
Hours: Permanent, part-time - 30 hours | Monday to Friday | Flexible split shifts
Your Responsibilities As Assistant Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations across both services, including:
- Assisting Coordinators with the daily operations of the OSHC services.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and engaging educational programs.
- Assisting with program planning, implementation, and documentation.
- Supporting educators through mentoring, guidance, and teamwork.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, schools, and the wider community.
- Helping maintain safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments for all children.
- Supporting staff supervision, organisation, and service operations.
- Acting as the Responsible Person on-site in the absence of the Coordinator.
- Supporting compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and My Time, Our Place framework.
About You We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for creating positive outcomes for children and families.
- Enjoys supporting and developing others.
- Has strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
- Is adaptable and confident working across multiple OSHC environments.
- Is committed to providing high-quality care and meaningful experiences for children.
Requirements - Diploma in Children’s Services or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in an education and care environment, with leadership experience highly regarded.
- Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Child Protection Training (or willingness to complete).
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and My Time, Our Place framework.
- Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management systems (Xplor experience desirable).
