About the role at Wynberg
Wynberg House, located in New Farm, is a residence and hospitality venue for senior Church leaders and distinguished guests of the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
Home to four live-in residents, Wynberg also regularly welcomes visiting clergy, guests and attendees at formal and informal gatherings. Known as a house of hospitality, it plays an important role in supporting relationships within the Church and broader community.

We are seeking a reliable Housekeeper to help keep Wynberg welcoming, clean and well-presented. Reporting to the House Manager, you will provide day-to-day cleaning and laundry support, while also assisting with occasional hospitality functions as required.
 
Key responsibilities

• Clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining and common areas (dusting/polishing, mirrors/light fixtures, floors, vacuuming)
• Manage laundry/linen: wash, dry, iron, fold, change linen and make beds; arrange dry cleaning as required
• Maintain tidy storerooms; monitor supplies; remove waste appropriately
• Assist with front-of-house hospitality during occasional events, including serving food and beverages to residents and guests.
• Support the Chef/Cook during special events (e.g., kitchen clean-down, wash-up, general tidying)
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow safe work practices (WHS, safe chemical handling)
• Treat residents and guests with courtesy and respect at all times

 
What we're looking for

• Experience in housekeeping/cleaning (residential, hospitality or similar)
• High attention to detail, pride in presentation and strong time management
• Trustworthy, professional, and able to work independently and within a small team
• Physically able to perform bending/lifting/standing tasks safely
• Hospitality or front-of-house experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Flexible availability (preferably Tuesdays and Wednesdays; occasional additional shifts for events)
• Current Australian work rights, with the ability to work in the role on an ongoing basis.
• Current Blue Card and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of cleaning agents/equipment (desirable)
• valid driver license (desirable)
