OSHC 2IC/Assistant Coordinator | Keperra | Step Into Leadership
Are you an experienced OSHC Educator, Lead Educator or current Assistant Coordinator who is ready for your next step?
We are looking for a warm, capable and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our service in Keperra.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys being with children, supporting a team and helping create a service that feels safe, fun and welcoming every day.
About the role
As the Assistant Coordinator, you will work closely with the Coordinator to help lead the day-to-day running of the OSHC service.
You will be part of the before and after school care program, supporting children through play, routines, relationships and meaningful experiences.
This role includes split shifts, so it is best suited to someone who lives locally or is comfortable working both mornings and afternoons during the school term.
You will help with things like:
- Supporting children to feel safe, included and excited to attend OSHC
- Helping plan and deliver engaging activities
- Supporting educators during busy sessions
- Building positive relationships with families and the school community
- Assisting with service routines, compliance and daily operations
- Stepping up when the Coordinator needs support
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will still be part of the fun, noise, creativity and everyday magic of OSHC — just with more responsibility and influence.
What we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience working in OSHC, childcare, education or a similar children’s service
- Previous experience as an Assistant Coordinator, 2IC, Lead Educator or senior educator
- Confidence supporting children in a busy group setting
- A warm and respectful approach with families, children and team members
- A genuine interest in leadership and service quality
- Reliability for split shifts during the school term
You will also need, or be willing to obtain: - Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
- Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
