Centacare, an agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, employs approximately 2,600 people across Queensland, delivering essential, high-quality services in aged care, family and community support, disability services, homelessness, and mental health.
Centacare is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Client Services Officer for a full-time position within our Home Safety Services team in Browns Plains. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients and referrers, managing service enquiries, completing client intake and assessments, coordinating appointments, and supporting the delivery of home maintenance and modification services. You will play a key role in ensuring responsive, outcome-focused service delivery while contributing to Centacare’s mission of supporting people and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional, empathetic, and efficient customer service to clients, referrers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Receive, assess, prioritise, and action client enquiries and requests for home maintenance and modification services.
- Complete client intake, assessments, and service allocations in line with client needs and program requirements.
- Coordinate service bookings by scheduling Field Officers and liaising with Contractors to support timely service delivery.
- Prepare work requests, job sheets, and service documentation while monitoring service requirements and expenditure.
- Process and maintain accurate client records, case notes, operational notes, and data entry within client management systems.
- Provide clear information regarding service offerings, eligibility criteria, and available supports.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate effective service delivery.
- Maintain service standards aligned with Centacare’s organisational values, policies, and procedures.
- Support promotional activities and community awareness of Home Safety Services programs.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to enhancing service quality.
- Ensure confidentiality, compliance requirements, and workplace health and safety obligations are maintained.
Experience & Qualifications: - Experience in customer service, administration, client coordination, or community service environments.
- Certificate III or higher in Business Administration or a related field (desirable).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and confidence using client management systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a small team environment.
- Professional, customer-focused, and ethical approach aligned with Centacare’s values.
- Ability to work within the ethos and values of the Catholic Church.
- Valid driver’s licence, Blue Card, Yellow Card, National Police Certificate, and right to work in Australia.
