Centacare Specialist Family Support Services (SFSS) supports the strengthening of family and community relationships where there is vulnerability or disadvantage.
The role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Service Delivery Coordinator to join our Domestic and Family Violence team on the Sunshine Coast. In this role, you will coordinate the day-to-day running of the service, support staff and ensuring service delivery meets funding, legal and organisational requirements.
You will support intake, risk assessment, safety planning and the management of complex or high-risk cases, while building strong relationships with partner agencies. The role also includes providing guidance and supervision to practitioners and may involve some direct client work when required.
Key Duties:
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of the Domestic and Family Violence service on the Sunshine Coast.
- Support, supervise and guide staff in their day-to-day work.
- Make sure the service meets funding, legal and organisational requirements.
- Oversee intake, risk assessment and safety planning, and support staff with complex or high-risk cases.
- Provide direct support to clients when needed.
- Monitor service activity and prepare reports for the Area Manager.
- Maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies and referral services.
- Support recruitment, induction and performance development of staff.
- Ensure client records and data are accurate, confidential and up to date.
- Promote child safety, workplace safety and Centacare’s values in everyday practice.
Skills and Experience: - Experience coordinating or leading service delivery in a community, health or human services setting.
- Strong understanding of domestic and family violence practice, including risk assessment, safety planning and high-risk case management.
- Experience providing supervision, guidance or senior practice support to staff.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and support the day-to-day running of a busy service.
- Experience working with funding bodies, contracts, data collection and reporting requirements.
- Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Experience building and maintaining referral pathways and working partnerships.
- Sound written skills for reports, case notes and service documentation.
- Confidence using client management systems and standard office technology.
Essential requirements for the role: - A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field, with eligibility for professional membership.
- Experience working in domestic and family violence services, including risk assessment and safety planning.
- Experience coordinating services and meeting funding, legal and reporting requirements.
- Experience supervising staff or providing senior practice support in complex or high-risk work.
- Working knowledge of domestic and family violence, child protection and family law legislation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with clients, teams and partner agencies.
- Commitment to child safety, ethical practice and confidentiality.
- Willingness to work within the values and ethos of the Catholic Church.
- Current driver’s licence, Blue Card, and Australian work rights.
