About the role and our Service:
At St Vincent’s Outside School Hours Care, we’re passionate about creating a safe, fun and inspiring space for school-aged children from St Vincent’s Primary School and the Surfers Paradise Catholic Parish community.
Our flexible, engaging and child-led program empower children to explore their interests, build confidence and discover something new everyday.

This is a 6-month, part-time contract position covering parental leave (32 hours per week).
The role includes two morning shifts per week and afternoon shifts each day.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children thrive.
- Assist with planning and delivering a high-quality, inclusive educational program.
- Provide children with a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
- Take part in ongoing professional and personal development opportunities.
- Act as the Responsible Person in the Coordinator’s absence.
- Promote and represent the service positively within the local community, reflecting the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

What You’ll Bring - Diploma in Children’s Services/Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
- Experience working in Outside School Hours Care or a similar environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
- A genuine passion for creating a positive, enriching experience for children.
- Willingness to take Child Protection Training as required
