At St Clare's OSHC, we provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing space for up to 62 children before and after school, as well as throughout the school holidays.

Our services focus on nurturing children, inspiring creativity, and supporting the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills through enjoyable, educational, and well-structured activities.

Our educators ensure children benefit from our strong school connection through activities like library visits, playground time, and events such as the sports carnival and Book Week parade. These experiences help children feel at ease in the school setting, develop new skills, and grow in confidence.

As an Assistant Coordinator your Key Responsibilities will be

Assist the Director in the day-to-day operations of the service, including:

• Program planning, delivery, and documentation
• Staff supervision
• Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Participate in professional and personal development
• Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services  

What you need:

• Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
• Experience in the education and care of children.
• Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
• Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
