Join Centacare’s Home Safety Services team, where your skills will directly support vulnerable community members across Logan and Beaudesert.
About the Role:
As a Field Officer, you’ll provide minor home modifications, essential repairs, and safety assessments that enable people to remain living safely in their own homes.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Logan & Beaudesert region, with a fully maintained work vehicle and all necessary tools provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete general home maintenance and repairs (e.g., smoke alarms, grab rails, taps, locks)
- Install and maintain Assistive Technology devices
- Conduct home safety and security assessments
- Coordinate with contractors for larger works
- Respond to service requests and client/contractor enquiries
- Maintain accurate records using TRACCS client management system
- Manage admin tasks related to service delivery
About you: - Experience in residential repairs or maintenance
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Commitment to equitable, client-focused service
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
Additional Requirements:
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (essential)
- Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- National Police Check (within the last 3 months or willing to obtain)
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – "Quality, Safety and You"
- Current C-class driver’s licence
