We’re looking for a friendly and caring casual educator (Children’s Services Employee) to join our vibrant team at St Dympna’s Outside School Hours Care.
We support up to 165 children across before school care, after school care, and vacation care. Located on the grounds of St Dympna’s Catholic Primary School, our program is flexible, child-led, and celebrates each child’s ideas, culture, and interests.
Your role will include:
- Greeting and walking preps to class each morning
- Supporting children in Years 1–6 as they head to class
- In the afternoons, collecting preps, welcoming older students, offering a healthy snack, and running engaging, educational activities

- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families

- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Centacare Child Care Services
Job Requirements: - Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines) or demonstrate a willingness to complete the studies
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
- Conversant with school aged care framework My Time Our Place
- Experience in the education and care of children
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
