The opportunity:
RSGx is supporting our client to deliver a major urea manufacturing project in Western Australia. Once complete, the facility will be the largest in Australia and among the largest globally, incorporating industry-leading, more sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate around 2,000 jobs during construction and deliver lasting benefits to the local community through careers, training, and business opportunities
We are seeking qualified and experienced Pipe Fitters with a minimum of 4 years post trade experience. Experience in Oil and gas construction or a chemical plant will be highly advantageous.
Scope of Work:
Pipe Fitters will be responsible for the installation, fit-up and field modification of process piping systems, including:
- Installation and fit-up of butt-welded pipe joints.
- Stick-built and field-fit piping installation.
- Measuring, cutting, aligning and fitting pipework to approved drawings and specifications.
- Working with a range of pipe materials including carbon steel, three types of stainless steel and Alloy 51.
- Completing pipe spool installation, field modifications and tie-ins as required.
- Ensuring correct pipe alignment, orientation, levels and fit-up prior to welding.
- Working closely with welders and other trades to ensure piping is installed to project requirements.
- Following approved drawings, specifications, procedures and project quality requirements.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity throughout all piping activities.
