The opportunity

A seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer who is versatile and adaptable, capable of contributing across various markets and key projects as needed. This role involves leading the design aspects of projects, including generating calculations and creating sketches that CAD drafters can refine into formal drawings.

Software engineering work may also be included in this role, and if so, you will gain and maintain proficiency in PLC and SCADA programming packages and deliver completed software applications.

This opportunity at times may include Project Management duties, particularly for smaller contracts. In these situations, the Engineer is expected to undertake and deliver the Project Management duties, being responsible for delivery of the project's technical and commercial aspects.

Duties include:

• Marketing of the company in response to any opportunities that arise, and always ensuring client satisfaction is maintained.
• Input to, and preparation and review of, tenders and proposals, and ensuring technical compliance of design works.
• Interpretation of project requirements and preparation of calculations and sketches.
• Project set-up upon award, including server file structure and BillQuick set-up
• Provide leadership, mentoring and technical support for all engineering team members especially younger, less experienced members. Assessing and organising training required to maintain and develop their skills.
• Efficiently working across software packages such as SKM PowerTools and PowerCAD.
• Development of, and compliance with, CNFiTech QA, WHS, EMS systems and targets while complying with company policies.
• Keeping abreast of latest industry developments and statutory requirements in the nominated field

You will safeguard and enhance the company's reputation as a preferred provider in the marketplace, while fostering strong and productive relationships with both colleagues and clients

About you

As an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer bringing extensive design experience working on electrical projects, contract management, and LV designs such as switchboards, single line diagram, and instrumentation controls to name a few. 
We are also looking for talent who can bring or possess the following:

• A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and has obtained or currently working towards CP Eng, NER and RPEQ following completion of your degree qualification.
• Holds a Construction White Card, MIEAust.
• Proficient with PowerCad modelling software, and Dialux lighting modelling software.
• PLC and SCADA programming package experience is highly favourable.
• Experience with high voltage design experience is also favourable.
