The Position
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical installation works for a small water treatment plant on the Dampier Peninsula.
In this role you will supervise a small team of electricians, trade assistants and subcontractors to ensure electrical works are completed safely, to quality standards, and in line with the project schedule.
The position operates on a full-time FIFO role from Perth or DIDO from Broome, working a 2:1 roster with 12-hour shifts. Applicants based in the Kimberley region are encouraged to apply and flexibility on roster can be discussed.
This worksite is located within or near a First Nations community. Personnel are guests on traditional lands and must act with respect and cultural awareness.
Key Duties
- Supervise electrical installation works associated with water treatment plant equipment and stand-alone power system.
- Supervise electrical installation works associated with stand along power system.
- Supervise subcontractors delivering civil and mechanical scope.
- Lead electricians and trade assistants during daily construction activities.
- Ensure electrical works are completed safely and meet required quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety interactions with crews and subcontractors.
- Provide mentorship to apprentices and other upskilling roles.
- Monitor crew competency, training and licence requirements.
- Track progress of electrical works and report to the construction manager.
- Assist with short-term planning, lookaheads and scheduling of electrical tasks.
- Identify risks, delays or potential change requirements.
- Ensure electrical tools, equipment and materials are available and maintained.
Qualifications & Experience
- WA Electrical Worker Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- LVR / CPR Certification.
- Working at Heights.
Desirable
- EWP High Risk Work Licence (WP).
- First Aid Certificate.
- Telehandler Operation Ticket - RIIHAN309F.
- Basic Riggin -RB.
- Experience supervising works on water infrastructure, pump stations or treatment plants.
- Experience working on remote construction projects.
