The position:

We are seeking highly skilled HV Technicians to join the construction team for the testing and commissioning of substations for a major energy transition projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the energy sector.

This is a full time FIFO position from Perth to the Pilbara, working on a 2:1 roster doing 12-hour days. 
FIFO from all major capital cities


Experience Required: 

• Substation Commissioning, including Site Acceptance Testing 
• Commissioning GIS Switchgear 
• VLF, Tan Delta, partial discharge testing of HV Cables 
• Experience in transmission (220KV) and distribution voltages (11, 22, 33kV)
• Experience with HV motors and drives
• Testing Primary electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, HV/LV switchboards, transformers, and HV busbars.
•  Relay Testing and Secondary injection Testing over a wide range of relay manufacturers/models.  Preferable, not essential.

Qualifications:

• WA A Grade Electrical license (Mandatory) 
• High Voltage Switching certificate - Not essential
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Advantageous) 
• Working at Heights, or willingness to obtain
• Current CPR/ LVR and First Aid certificate 
• Valid Driver's License (Minimum C Class) 
• Proven experience with Omicron Test units
• White Card (Construction Card)
• Ability to provide at least two contactable work-related references
• Pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Test
• Previous FIFO experience
