About the Role 

We are seeking a Protection Engineer who would be flexible to work on site as well as in the office.

This is a flexible role with an equal split of Perth based/Hybrid and Onsite work. The role will require ad hoc travel to a variety of sites/clients for testing High Voltage assets and commissioning activities. 
Competitive uplift when working onsite.

When on site:

• Work safely and in accordance with procedures, policies and permits.
• Execute Primary testing on HV Assets.
• Perform Secondary testing on protection relays, control & communication systems.
• Complete FAT and SAT testing.
• Liaise with clients and provide technical advice and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults in HV systems.

When in Perth:

• Develop testing and commissioning plans.
• Develop technical reports and other client deliverables.
• QA/QC management.
• Assist in estimating.
• Support major projects with engineering and commissioning activities.

About You 

• Electrical Engineering Degree.
• Experienced in testing and commissioning of Distribution and Transmission voltage levels.
• Competent in the suite of Omicron, Doble and Megger Test Equipment. 
• Good communicator who is confident to be client-facing and able to work independently. 
• Trade qualification advantageous.
