About Us RSGx is an Australian-based specialist infrastructure company delivering construction and maintenance services across the power, energy, and resources sectors. As our project portfolio grows, we are expanding our support team in Kuala Lumpur, working from our WeWork office in KL Eco City.
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the financial and contractual management of Australian construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and interested in working with international teams on large-scale infrastructure works.
About the Role You’ll play a vital role in overseeing cost planning, tendering, budgeting, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with both local and Australian stakeholders, you’ll ensure value for money, compliance, and project success.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in tender processes; review scopes, drawings, and contract terms
Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), and tender documentation
Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations
Assist with contract administration including progress claims, variations, and payment certifications
Monitor and report on project budgets and financial performance
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to resolve commercial and contractual issues
Maintain accurate documentation throughout project phases
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
1–3 years’ experience in a QS or commercial support role (fresh graduates welcome to apply)
Strong understanding of construction materials, cost control, and contracts
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Strong written and spoken English; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are a plus
Good communication and negotiation skills
