Welcome to RSGx - We're on the lookout for an experienced HSE Advisor with Trainer & Assessor experience and qualifications to join our vibrant team based in Perth, Western Australia.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, West, this role offers a dynamic blend of office-based work and site travel across WA and the Northern Territory. Travel-related uplifts will be provided.
Additional responsibilities of the HSE Advisor / Trainer, include:
- Assist with maintaining the integrated management system, identify and implement initiatives for improvement including procedures, processes, and safe systems of work.
- Offer support and advice for the development of risk assessments and project safety documentation.
- Assist with investigation and reporting for incidents and accidents.
- Support area offices and projects in relation to third party QHSE audits.
- Assist with tender and pre-qualification HSE questionnaires and supporting documentation.
- Conduct training needs analysis for different projects.
- Identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training programs to address them.
- Develop training programs to assist the development of employees for career progression.
- Assess and verify the competency of operators for mobile plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and operational standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all training activities and assessments.
- Generate reports on training outcomes, compliance, and future training needs
About you
An experienced HSE Advisor with experience operating in a training and assessment role within the construction, mining, oil and gas sectors. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in developing and delivering training programs and can conduct training needs analysis and update training matrices, and ideally familiar with mobile plant operations and project induction processes.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
- Minimum Cert IV WHS
- ICAM trained
- Relevant qualifications in Construction or related field.
- Flexible in being able to work in the office and travel to site as required across WA and the NT.
