Freelance Part Time Graphic Designer – 12 Month Contract

This is your opportunity to join a creative team in Melbourne that thrives on collaboration, calm professionalism, and delivering engaging design solutions for a highly respected financial services company.

You’ll be working alongside experienced designers, writers and content specialists, with the chance to contribute to both digital and print projects that are client-facing and brand-driven.

The work is varied – you’ll move between concept development, campaign assets, digital content, interactive formats, and more traditional layout and print design. With the team exploring new platforms and formats, you’ll be learning new platforms and presenting dynamic web content. 

There is an experienced team around you – you’ll have a proper handover, training and ongoing support. The designers describe the systems as intuitive and easy to pick up, so you can focus on applying your creativity and technical skills from day one.

You’ll report into the Senior Manager of Content & Communications and work closely with the Senior Designer and wider Client Experience team. It’s a friendly, supportive group that values calm reassurance, direct communication, and collaboration.

Skills and experience required for this role:

• Design experience with a strong portfolio of both print and digital work
  
  
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign), plus Microsoft Word/PowerPoint for templates
  
  
• Knowledge of brand management and ability to deliver consistent, polished outputs
  
  
• Experience designing across channels — eDMs, web, social, presentations, campaigns, event collateral
  
  
• Solid understanding of print production and preparing files for press
  
  
• Familiarity with UX principles and digital platforms (desirable)
  
  

This role is Mac-based, freelance, and will run for 12 months from October 2025. Police checks will be required.
