About the role:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Business Partner – Transport to join our team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance of our Transport operations.
This is a hands-on business partnering role where you will work closely with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insights, support decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement and drive strong commercial outcomes.
You will bring a strong understanding of financial management, combined with the ability to translate financial information into practical recommendations that support the day-to-day and long-term success of the Transport business.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Transport leaders to provide commercial and financial advice.
• Monitor Transport financial performance, costs, margins and profitability.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, reporting and financial analysis.
• Analyse financial and operational KPIs and variances, providing actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase profitability.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Provide financial support for pricing, tenders, projects and investments.
• Work closely with Operations to understand financial drivers and improve business performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting and financial results.
• Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted financial partner.
• Continuously improve financial processes, reporting and systems.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

What you Bring:

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercial finance role.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with a focus on business performance.
• Experience partnering with operational and senior leaders.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to turn financial data into clear, practical business insights.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in transport or logistics is highly desirable.
