About the role:
As the Nightshift Supervisor, you are responsible for organising the safe and quality load and unload of all Metro freight in and out of vehicles within the required timeframes. You will do this whilst ensuring company processes are followed including correct scanning and placement of freight within bays ensuring the correct manual handling process is followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide, train, and motivate night shift employees, ensuring they follow procedures and company policies.
- Assign duties, balance workloads, and monitor efficient completion of tasks.
- Oversee productivity, address performance issues, and resolve conflicts.
- Manage shift schedules, including handling unexpected absences.
- Safety focused - able to lead and manage health and safety in your team
- Check product/service quality, address issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels and oversee deliveries or restocking.
- Ensure compliance with specific customer or country documentation for shipments.
- Take Pride in what we do and offer and lead by example!
What We Offer: - Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week between 3:00pm to 12:30 am in Auckland!

What you Bring: - Able to train and communicate effectively with our people (verbal and written).
- Able to provide with strong leadership support to the team.
- Fit for work - lifting, pushing, pulling, movement of freight by hand, trolley and forklift is required.
- Security aware - ensuring the building and vehicles are always secure.
- Good at using the computer, including Microsoft Office systems.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills for advancement.
- A great forklift operator with a current forklift licence and operating certificate, ideally
