About the role:
You will be collected by a Fliway Driver to help complete Customer pickups and deliveries in and around the Whitianga area. This will be completed in a safe manner, always ensuring the quality and security of the products. The Driver Assistant is responsible for following instruction and helping the delivery driver to handle product. You may be required to complete scanning and documentation on behalf of the driver. You are also required to help other Fliway people in their jobs, when directed by Management or your Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
• To carry out your work as outlined in the company training modules, operations manual, policies, rules, standards, and procedures.
• To work in a helpful, friendly, and polite manner, when dealing with receivers and others.
• Deliver as per agreed delivery time and conduct delivery, unpacking, installs as per instructions from Fliway or customer.
• To wear the correct uniform and PPE that is supplied for the tasks you are doing, and to take care of them and your appearance so you represent Fliway professionally.
• Perform all functions in a safe manner.
• Be responsible for daily checks on the vehicle in your care.
• To be responsible for a vehicle and required actions involved in the pickup and delivery of the freight requiring one or more persons.
• Complete all scanning and notifications correctly and on time – as required in the procedure for Fliway or as specified by the customer. Any other duties as requested by management which may be necessary from time to time.

What you Bring:
• Hardworking, honest, and reliable
• Fit for work - lifting, pushing, pulling, movement of freight by hand and trolley is required.
• Flexible in your approach - a typical day may include loading freight, driving, processing freight deliveries, doing the paperwork and providing great customer services.
• Able to manage your workload and meet deadlines.
• Organised in processing your documentation and keeping your paperwork in order.
• Good team player, with initiative and ability to perform quality work in a safe manner.
• Hold a clean HT licence, minimum Class 1 – Full license required (Class 2 Idea)
